CBT is an evidence-based therapy that explores the link between how thoughts can impact how you feel and behave. The therapist and client work together to look at more beneficial thinking styles, creating positive feelings and altering behaviours. CBT has a good evidence base for a wide range of mental health problems in adults, older adults, children and young people. CBT is the first-line treatment for mental health problems and is recommended by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence. CBT can be used if you are on medication that has been prescribed by your GP. You can also use CBT on its own. This will depend on the difficulty you want help with. We also provide Couples Counselling, Child Psychotherapy, Adult Counselling and More.
